성경의 몇 가지 진리에 대한 선언

존경하는 교회 여러분,

우리는 다음의 사항들에 대하여 하나로 일치해야 합니다:

  1. 주 예수는 말씀이신 하나님께서 사람의 위격 안에 오신 분이십니다.
  2. 말씀이신 하나님께서는 교회를 세상에서 데려가시기 위하여 다시 오실 그 날과 그 시각을 알고 계십니다. 만일 그렇지 않다면 그분은 하나님이 아니십니다. 왜냐하면 하나님은 전지하시며, 모든 것을 아시고 모든 일을 미리 아시는 분이시기 때문입니다.
  3. 예수라는 이름으로 사람의 위격 안에 계실 때에, 말씀이신 하나님께서는 스스로 하나님의 상태를 내려놓으시고, 완전히 사람의 상태로 실존하셨습니다. 그러므로 그분은 하나님 아버지를 예배하셔야 했고, 하나님 아버지께 기도하셨으며, 하나님 아버지께 부르짖으셨고, 교회를 세상에서 데려가실 날과 시각을 알지 못하셨습니다… 그러므로 그분은 십자가 위에서의 고통스러운 죽음을 두려워하시며, 그 고통과 수치의 잔을 하나님 아버지께서 거두어 주시기를 간구하셨습니다.
  4. 주 예수께서 부활하신 후에는, 그분의 사람의 상태와 하나님의 상태가 하나로 연합되었습니다. 그때부터 그분은 어린양이라는 칭호로, 사람의 상태와 하나님의 상태 안에서 온전히 실존하시는 하나님이 되셨습니다(사람으로 하여금 그분의 희생을 영원히 기억하게 하기 위함입니다). 그러므로 그분은 당연히 교회를 세상에서 데려가실 날과 시각을 알고 계십니다.
  5. 그분은 자신의 참된 주 님의 백성에게 그분이 오실 날과 시각을 숨기지 않으십니다. 그 때가 이르면 그분은 그들에게 드러내실 것입니다.

“이제부터는 너희를 종들이라 부르지 아니하리라. 이는 종은 자기 주인이 하는 일을 알지 못하기 때문이라. 내가 너희를 친구들이라고 불렀으니, 이는 내가 내 아버지께로부터 들은 모든 것들을 너희에게 알게 하였기 때문이라.” (요한복음 15:15).

“실로 주 하나님은 선지자들인 그의 종들에게 그의 비밀을 나타내지 않고서는 아무것도 행치 아니하느니라.” (아모스 3:7).

교회 안에 있는 모든 주 님의 백성은 하나님의 선지자입니다.

  1. 그러므로 주 예수께서 부활하시기 이전에 하신 말씀, 곧 그분과 아무도 교회를 세상에서 데려가실 날과 시각을 알지 못한다는 선언은, 부활 이전까지만 적용됩니다.

“그러나 그 날과 시간에 관해서는 아무도 모르나니 심지어는 하늘의 천사들도 모르고 오직 나의 아버지만 아시느니라.” (마태복음 24:36).

“그 날과 시간에 관해서는 아무도 모르나니, 정녕 하늘에 있는 천사들도 모르고 아들도 모르며 오직 아버지만 아시느니라.” (마가복음 13:32).

주 예수께서 부활하신 이후에는 모든 권세가 그분께 주어졌습니다:

“그 후에 예수께서 그들에게 오셔서 일러 말씀하시기를 “하늘과 땅에 있는 모든 권세를 나에게 주셨도다.” (마태복음 28:18).

“이로 인하여 하나님께서는 그를 지극히 높이시고 모든 이름 위에 있는 한 이름을 그에게 주사, 하늘에 있는 것이나 땅 위에 있는 것이나 땅 아래 있는 것이나 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고  모든 혀가 예수 그리스도를 주라 시인하여 하나님 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨느니라.” (빌립보서 2:9-11).

“하나님께서 그 능력을 그리스도 안에서 역사하게 하사 그를 죽은 자들로부터 살리셨으며, 천상에서 하나님의 오른편에 앉히사 모든 정사와 권세와 능력과 다스림과 이 세상뿐만 아니라 오는 세상에서도 이름 지어진 모든 이름 위에 뛰어나게 하셨으며 또 만물을 그의 발 아래 두시고 그를 만물 위에 머리가 되게 하셔서 교회에게 주셨느니라.” (에베소서 1:20-22).

“모든 권세”에는 교회를 세상에서 데려가실 날과 시각을 아는 권세도 포함됩니다.

  1. 만일 어떤 사람이 말씀이신 하나님을 믿지 않거나, 주 예수께서 부활 후에 교회를 세상에서 데려가실 날과 시각을 알고 계심을 믿지 않는다면, 그 사람은 곧 말씀이 하나님이심을 부인하는 것이며, 주 예수를 하나님으로 부인하는 것입니다.
  2. 만일 어떤 사람이 주 예수께서 교회 안에 있는 참된 주 님의 백성에게 아버지께로부터 들은 모든 것을 나타내신다는 것을 믿지 않는다면, 그 사람은 요한복음 15장 15절의 주님의 말씀을 부인하는 것입니다.
  3. 만일 어떤 사람이 스스로 계신 하나님께서 그분의 종들인 선지자들에게 장차 행하실 모든 비밀을 나타내신다는 것을 믿지 않는다면, 그 사람은 아모스 3장 7절의 주님의 말씀을 부인하는 것입니다.
  4. 만일 어떤 사람이 교회 안에 있는 모든 참된 주 님의 백성이 하나님의 선지자임을 믿지 않는다면, 그 사람은 베드로전서 2장 9절; 요한계시록 1장 6절; 5장 10절; 고린도전서 14장 31절의 주님의 말씀을 부인하는 것입니다.

존경하는 교회 여러분,

나는 주 예수께서 교회 안에 있는 참된 주 님의 백성에게, 그분이 오실 날과 시각을 나타내실 때가 이미 이르렀다고 믿습니다.

나는 그분께서 각 사람의 믿음의 분량과, 그분의 오심을 사모하는 마음의 깊이에 따라 개인적으로 드러내실 수 있다고 믿습니다.

나는 또한 그분께서 한 사람(여호수아와 같은 사람)에게 나타내시고, 그 사람으로 하여금 온 세상에 선포하게 하실 수도 있다고 믿습니다. 만일 그렇게 하신다 해도, 그것은 성경의 어떤 진리와도 어긋나지 않으며, 인류 전체를 향한 그분의 크신 긍휼과 교회를 향한 그분의 특별한 긍휼에서 비롯된 것입니다.

그러나 나는 여호수아의 선포가 주께로부터 온 것인지에 대하여 확증을 가지고 있지는 않습니다. 왜냐하면 주님의 말씀은, 주 님의 백성이 어떤 예언이 거짓임을 아는 기준은 그 예언이 이루어지지 않고 또한 성취되지 않는 것이라고 가르치기 때문입니다.

“어떤 선지자가 주의 이름으로 말하는데 그런 일이 일어나지도 않고 성취되지도 않았으면 그것은 주께서 말씀하신 것이 아니라. 그 선지자가 주제넘게 말한 것이니 너는 그를 무서워 말지니라.” (신명기 18:22).

그리고 이것이 주님의 말씀을 존중하며 주님의 말씀대로 살아가는 나의 원칙입니다:

  1. 누구든지 말한 말이 주님의 말씀에 어긋나지 않는다면, 나는 그 말을 한 사람의 신분이나 태도를 따지지 않고 그 말을 받아들여야 합니다.

니느웨 성의 백성이 요나 선지자의 태도와 성품만을 보고 그의 예언을 받아들이지 않았다면, 그들은 멸망당했을 것입니다.

  1. 누구든지 주의 이름으로 말한 말이 주님의 말씀에 어긋나지 않는다면, 나는 그 말을 받아들여야 하며, 만일 그 말에 명령이 포함되어 있다면 반드시 순종해야 합니다.
  2. 누구든지 주의 이름으로 말한 예언이 성경에 어긋나지 않는다면, 나는 신명기 18장 22절의 원칙에 따라, 그 예언이 주께로부터 오지 않았음이 증명되기 전까지 그 예언을 받아들여야 합니다.

Declaration on Certain Truths of the Bible

Dear Church,

We need to be united on the following points:

  1. The Lord Jesus is God the Word in the person of humanity.
  2. God the Word KNOWS the hour and the day when He will come to take the Church out of the world. If not, He is not God. For God is all-knowing, knowing all things and knowing beforehand all things.
  3. In the human person with the name Jesus, God the Word Himself put aside His divine state in order to fully exist in the human state. Therefore, He had to worship the God, pray to the God, and supplicate to the God, not know the hour and the day when He would come to take the Church out of the world… Therefore, He dreaded the painful death on the cross and asked the God to remove from Him that cup of suffering and humiliation.
  4. After the Lord Jesus rose from the dead, His human state and His divine state became united. From then on, He is fully and truly God in both the human state and the divine state with the title of the Lamb (so that mankind would forever remember His sacrifice). Therefore, He naturally knows the hour and the day when He will come to take the Church out of the world.
  5. He will not hide from His true people the hour and the day when He will come. When the time comes, He will reveal it to them.

“No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, because all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you.” (John 15:15, EMTV)

“Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, unless He reveals His secret to His servants the prophets.” (Amos 3:7, KJV)

Every child of God in the Church is a prophet of the God.

  1. Therefore, the saying of the Lord Jesus before He rose from the dead—that He and no one knows the hour and the day when He will come to take the Church out of the world—only applies up until He rose from the dead.

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” (Matthew 24:36, EMTV)

“But of that day and hour no one knows, neither the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.” (Mark 13:32, EMTV)

After the Lord Jesus rose from the dead, all authority was given to Him:

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.’” (Matthew 28:18, EMTV)

“Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and those on earth, and those under the earth, and every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” (Philippians 2:9–11, EMTV)

“Which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead, and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above every ruler and authority and power and dominion, and every name being named, not only in this age but also in the coming one. And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church.” (Ephesians 1:20–22, EMTV)

“All authority” includes knowing the hour and the day when He will come to take the Church out of the world.

  1. If anyone does not believe that God the Word, or does not believe that the Lord Jesus, after rising from the dead, knows the hour and the day when He will come to take the Church out of the world, then that person by default denies that the Word is God and denies that the Lord Jesus is God.
  2. If anyone does not believe that the Lord Jesus will reveal to His true people in the Church everything He has heard from His Father, then that person by default denies His words in John 15:15.
  3. If anyone does not believe that the Self-Existing and Eternal One always reveals to His servants, the prophets, every secret that He will do, then that person by default denies His words in Amos 3:7.
  4. If anyone does not believe that every true child of the Lord in the Church is a prophet of the God, then that person by default denies the Word of God in 1 Peter 2:9; Revelation 1:6; 5:10; 1 Corinthians 14:31.

Dear Church,

I BELIEVE that the time when the Lord Jesus will reveal to His true people the hour and the day when He will come to take the Church out of the world has arrived.

I BELIEVE that He can reveal it individually to each one, depending on their faith in Him and the degree of their longing for His coming.

I BELIEVE that He can reveal it to one person (such as Mr. Joshua) and tell that person to proclaim it to the whole world. For if He does so, it is not contrary to any truth in the Bible, but rather by His great mercy for mankind in general and for the Church in particular.

But within me there is no affirmation that the proclamation of Mr. Joshua truly comes from the Lord or not. For the Word of God teaches that God’s people can only know that a prophecy is false when it does NOT HAPPEN and does NOT COME TO PASS.

“When a prophet speaks in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.” (Deuteronomy 18:22, KJV)

And this is my principle in honoring the Word of God and living by the Word of God:

  1. Any word spoken by anyone that does not contradict the Word of God, I must receive that word, regardless of the character or attitude of the speaker.

If the people of Nineveh had looked at the character and attitude of the Prophet Jonah and not received his prophecy, they would have been destroyed.

  1. Any word spoken by anyone in the name of the Lord that does not contradict the Word of God, I must receive that word. If that word comes with a command, then I must obey it.
  2. Anyone who speaks a prophecy in the name of the Lord that does not contradict the Bible, I must receive that word until it is proven not to be from the Lord, according to the principle in Deuteronomy 18:22.
