We prepared this sermon about three weeks before seeing Joshua’s YouTube video about the Lord Jesus coming to take the Church out of the world at this year’s Feast of Trumpets, September 23–24, 2025, and the countless testimony videos confirming Joshua’s declaration. On September 13, 2025, this sermon was preached, and the next day, September 14, 2025, we saw Joshua’s YouTube declaration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkvrPqsWncA. After that, we saw countless testimony videos from others confirming it. Is Joshua’s declaration trustworthy or not? May each person come to the Holy Spirit to receive His guidance.
The Lord Jesus may return to take His Church into heaven at any time. God’s true people should prepare themselves to depart with Him.
Dear Church,
This year, the Feast of Trumpets falls on September 23, beginning after sunset on Monday, September 22, according to the Gregorian calendar. On this occasion, once again, let us reflect together on the meaning of the Feast of Trumpets and the coming of Christ to take the Church out of the world before the seven-year tribulation of the End Times.
We have learned about the Feast of Trumpets, that this feast may represent Christ gathering the Church on the day He returns to take the Church out of the world into heaven. However, the Feast of the Firstfruits may also represent the coming of Christ for the Church, for the Church is the firstfruit of the salvation that the God has given to mankind.
“But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then those who belong to Christ at His coming.” (1 Corinthians 15:23)
“Exercising His will He begat us by the word of truth, that we might be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures.” (James 1:18)
If the Feast of the Firstfruits represents Christ taking the Church out of the world, then the Feast of Trumpets represents Christ gathering God’s people at the end of the End Times, as prophesied in Matthew:
“And He shall send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” (Matthew 24:31)
But if the day Christ comes to take the Church out of the world falls on a Feast of Trumpets, the Bible also records the blowing of the trumpet on that day:
“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:52)
“Because the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16)
The event of Christ coming to take the Church out of the world has been called by the Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, “the blessed hope” of God’s people concerning the “glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ.”
Titus 2:11-14
11 For the saving grace of *God has appeared to all men,
2:12 teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present age,
13 looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ,
14 who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from every lawless deed and purify for Himself a people as His own possession, zealous for good works.
Whether Christ will come on the Feast of the Firstfruits, or on the Feast of Trumpets, or on any other day, one thing is absolutely certain: that day will come. With faith in God’s Word, we believe that day is very near. We believe that day will come while those who were born in 1967 have not yet all passed away.
When comparing the prophecy of the Lord Jesus Himself in the parable of the fig tree, recorded in Matthew 24:32–34, Mark 13:28–30, and Luke 21:29–32, with world events, we understand that we belong to the generation living at the time when Christ comes for the Church, the End Times, and Christ returns to the earth to bring the End Times to a close.
“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: Whenever its branch already becomes tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, whenever you see all these things, know that it is near – at the doors! Assuredly I say to you, this generation shall by no means pass away till all these things are fulfilled.” (Matthew 24:32-34)
The “fig tree” in the parable of the Lord Jesus represents the nation of Israel. The restoration of Israel as a nation in the Promised Land of Canaan on Friday, May 14, 1948, is the “fig tree” being planted again. Israel’s regaining sovereignty over the city of Jerusalem on Wednesday, June 7, 1967, is the “fig tree” putting forth shoots and leaves, signaling that “summer” is near. “Summer” represents the time when Christ comes to take the Church out of the world and to judge the world through the End Times.
The prophecy of the Lord Jesus implies that the generation that sees the fig tree of Israel put forth shoots and leaves will not pass away before the End Times are completed. According to Psalm 90:10, a generation—that is, a human lifetime—lasts about 70 years, at the most 80 years. Therefore, we may understand that the seven-year End Times could begin in 2030 or at the latest in 2040 (1967, the year the fig tree of Israel put forth shoots and leaves, + 70 years, or 1967 + 80 years). But before that, the Church will be taken out of the world by Christ. In other words, from now until June 2030, or at the latest until June 2040, Christ may come at any time to take the Church out of the world.
If Christ takes the Church out of the world earlier than 2030, then the End Times may also begin earlier. It is possible that the End Times will follow only a few weeks after the Church is caught up.
Since the Feast of Trumpets represents Christ gathering God’s people, it is very possible that Christ will come for the Church on the Feast of Trumpets. We hope that the Lord will come on the Feast of Trumpets in 2026 or 2027. In those two years, the Feast of Trumpets falls on a Sabbath at the end of the week:
-
Sabbath, September 11, 2026
-
Sabbath, October 1, 2027
The Passover of 2027 falls on Thursday, April 22, 2027, which is also exactly two thousand years since the nation of Israel rejected Christ and was punished by God [1]. Those two thousand years are the “two days” in the prophecy of Hosea [2], [3], [4], [5]:
“Come, and let us return unto the LORD: for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up. After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.” (Hosea 6:1-2)
“In the third day He will raise us up” means the time when the nation of Israel will be spiritually revived by the God. This spiritual revival was prophesied in Ezekiel chapter 37.
Israel has already been physically revived by the God through their restoration as an independent nation with sovereignty over the Promised Land of Canaan. When the time comes, the God will revive them spiritually. It is very possible that this revival will happen on the Feast of the Firstfruits in 2027, the day following the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. It is very possible that this will also be the time when the God seals the 144,000 from the 12 tribes of Israel to be His messengers during the End Times.
We are truly living in the last days, right before the End Times. Therefore, let us strive to live in such a way that we fulfill the purpose the God has determined for each of His people. In the words of the Apostle Paul, each of us should fight the good fight, finish the race, and keep the faith.
The purpose of life for God’s people includes the following three aspects:
1. Keep oneself holy every day, not violating God’s commandments. God’s commandments include the Ten Commandments of the God, the New Commandment of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Commandment to Be Holy of the Holy Spirit (Exodus 20:1–17; John 13:34; Acts 15:29).
God’s people keep themselves holy by reading, meditating on, and carefully obeying God’s Word day and night (Joshua 1:8). Only in this way can they abandon their love for worldly things, avoid sin, have fellowship with God, increase their reverence for God, and receive the love of God within themselves. Only when a person has the love of God within can they truly love God above all things, regard others as more important than themselves, empathize with everyone, love their neighbor as themselves, and love their brothers and sisters in the faith more than themselves.
2. Preach God’s Word to everyone, whether it is the right time or not. The right time is when people are willing to listen and learn. The wrong time is when people refuse to listen, even mocking or persecuting. The command of the Holy Spirit was clearly recorded by Paul: “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all patience and teaching.” (2 Timothy 4:2)
Today, with digital technology and online information, anyone can open multiple social media accounts completely free to preach God’s Word. Preaching can include sharing what the Lord moves in one’s heart and sharing existing messages from true pastors and God’s true people. Preaching God’s Word is not only about proclaiming the Gospel to everyone but also about using God’s Word to reprove and correct brothers and sisters who have sinned or erred within the Church, calling them to live according to God’s Word.
3. Await the coming of the Christ. The Holy Spirit reveals that anyone who eagerly awaits the coming of the Christ is worthy to receive the crown of righteousness: “I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.” (2 Timothy 4:7–8)
A person’s righteousness is both being forgiven by the God and declared righteous and living a holy life according to God’s Word until death or until Christ comes. That person is granted by Christ the authority to judge and to reign with Him in the Heavenly Kingdom. Therefore, the crown of righteousness is the authority to judge, rewarded by the Christ to those who have been faithful in serving the Lord and who eagerly await the day of Christ’s appearing. This may include the authority to judge the sinful angels and the world, as mentioned in 1 Corinthians 6:2–3.
Anyone who truly eagerly awaits the coming of the Christ is naturally a person who has renounced worldly desires, carefully keeps themselves holy every day, and zealously preaches God’s Word to all people.
We cannot know the day or hour of the Lord’s coming. But we know that the time is very near, as He has said: “So you also, whenever you see all these things, know that it is near – at the doors!” Let us prepare ourselves, live holy lives, obey God’s commandments, and wait for that blessed day.
Revelation 14:12 clearly affirms: “Here is the endurance of the saints; those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” Whoever has faith in the atoning death of the Lord Jesus but does not keep the God’s commandments is not among the saints. The God’s commandments are the Ten Commandments, clearly written in Exodus 20:1–17. Many people claim to be God’s children but do not sanctify God’s Sabbath, thus violating the fourth commandment of the God. Nowhere in the Bible does it teach that God has abolished the fourth commandment or changed the Sabbath to Sunday. That is only a human commandment, established by the religious organizations.
Recently, there have been videos and posts online related to the Feast of Trumpets on September 23, 2025. Some claim they dreamed about it, some say they saw a vision, and others say they died and came back to life, receiving revelation from the Lord. Some say that September 23, 2025, is the day the Lord will come to take the Church out of the world. Others say it is the start of three days and three nights of darkness covering the earth. Others say it is the day of the UN Global Compact Leaders Summit 2025, bringing together business, government, and civil society leaders to discuss the role of the private sector in promoting the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). But in reality, it may be the day that paves the way for the establishment of a global government. It could be the day the Antichrist is revealed.
In our observation, some of the videos and posts online that we have seen contain points that do not align with the Bible. We believe this is Satan’s strategy in these last days. Satan takes advantage of online media, using many people who claim to speak for the Lord to spread falsehoods. The purpose is that when these things do not come to pass, people may also doubt the biblical prophecies about the coming of the Christ and the End Times. We sincerely hope that when viewing information online, brothers and sisters always compare it with God’s Word.
Today is September 13, 2025. There are only ten days left until the Feast of Trumpets on September 23, 2025. Will the Lord come to take the Church out of the world on that day? Or will some other significant event occur on that day? We still have ten days to witness if anything is to happen on September 23, 2025.
As God’s true people, each of us will receive the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to know that the day of the Christ’s coming is very near. We do not need any other “prophecy” or any other “vision” to help us know that this day is approaching.
May the Word of God sanctify us and strengthen us. May we all stand firm in faith and remain faithful to the Lord until the day Christ returns. May the love, grace, and fellowship of the Triune God, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, cover all of you. Amen!

About Using “*God” or “the God” and “holy spirit”
Wherever the Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts of the Bible uses a definite article with a noun to denote GOD, we translate it into English as “*God” or “the God” to refer to God the Father. We understand that “God,” without a definite article, was used as a collective noun for all and any of the three Persons of the Godhead. And “God,” with a definite article, was used to refer to God the Father.
In the Greek manuscripts of the New Testament, the term “holy spirit” (πνευματι αγιω) without the definite article “the” (το) is used to denote the power of God, which is given by God the Holy Spirit. “The Holy Spirit” (το πνευματι το αγιω) is God, and “holy spirit” (πνευματι αγιω) is the power that comes from God.
