From This Day Forth

From this day forth, my soul shall heed
The whispers of my Lord and creed.
Through winding paths, both dark and light,
His presence quells my mortal fright.

No longer mine, this heart now beats
In rhythm with His holy feats.
Though chaos reigns in worldly strife,
His peace now anchors all my life.

O Jesus, constant as the stars,
You heal my wounds, my spirit’s scars.
In You alone, my trust resides,
A beacon as my faith abides.

With every breath, a song of praise
Escapes my lips through all my days.
Fulfilled in Him, I’ll joyful be,
Until His glory sets me free.

I wait with hope, my eyes above,
For His return, the ultimate love.
When earthly bonds at last unwind,
And in His arms, my home I’ll find.
