The Lord Seeks Me and Calls Me

“Come to Me, all the weary and burdened! And I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)

Through the years, in a world of sorrow,
Amid countless faces, loneliness follows.
Days unfold with deceit’s bitter trace,
As people compete in life’s endless race.

My heart yearns for a kindred soul,
A love sincere to make me whole.
To lean on through paths unknown,
Together facing life’s twilight zone.

A hundred storms may come and go,
Where is the one to end this solo?
In sorrow’s chill, my spirit fades—
Am I destined to be alone always?

But lo! The Lord seeks and calls,
I answer, and loneliness falls.
Each day now brims with His grace,
Content, though sorrows still have place.

From this day forth, I’ll gladly proclaim:
The Lord’s mercy, for all to claim.
Lean on Him—He’ll light your way,
To His kingdom, where you’ll forever stay.
