For so many years, this life of mine
was lived in loneliness and despair.
Days filled with toil and pain,
Days where beautiful dreams shattered,
a heart in sorrow.

I knew not where I could ease all my burdens,
where tears could be wiped dry,
where joy could remain,
and my soul no longer feel alone.

For so many years, this life of mine
was lived in so much sin and guilt.
A heart full of hatred and deceit,
a heart chasing fleeting desires,
forgetting tomorrow.

But the Lord loved me,
redeemed me from all sin and shame.
My heart found joy,
for the Lord Jesus
now walks beside me.

Lord Jesus! My life, from now on,
I ask to follow You forevermore.
May Your gracious love always shepherd my soul,
and I will forever submit to Your Word.

Lord Jesus! My life,
from now on,
I vow to worship You forevermore.
May Your gracious love always show mercy to my soul.
My life will always belong to You.

My Life Always Belongs to You

Through years of solitude I wandered,
In shadows deep of my despair,
Where toil and anguish were my companions,
And shattered dreams hung heavy in the air.

My heart knew not where burdens lifted,
Where tears could find their gentle rest,
Where joy might linger past the morning,
Where souls could cease their restless quest.

In darkness thick with sin and sorrow,
With hatred’s poison in my veins,
I chased the wind of fleeting pleasures,
Forgetting love, remembering only pains.

But Love came down to find me there,
The Lord who sees beyond our shame,
He lifted high my fallen spirit,
And Jesus whispered out my name.

Now walking by His gentle presence,
My heart has found its truest song,
The path ahead grows bright with promise—
To follow Him my whole life long.

O Lord Jesus, take this life completely,
Let gracious love my shepherd be,
I bow before Your sacred wisdom,
Your Word shall be authority.

O Lord Jesus, receive my worship,
Let mercy flow upon my soul,
For in Your hands I place my future—
In You alone I am made whole.

This life, this heart, this breath, this being,
Forever Yours, forever true,
Through every dawn and every twilight,
My life will always belong to You.
