My soul lifts its eyes to You,
Longing for the Father’s merciful view.
Through passing days and years that flee,
I sank in sorrow’s deep debris.

Here I kneel, my spirit turning,

Please forgive what I have done,
Restore me, make me wholly one.

My heart overflows with wonder—
Your love breaks sin’s heavy thunder.
